INDEX LOOKUP
We query Common Crawl's CDX index to count how many pages of your site have been crawled.
02

WHAT IS THIS?
What are AI crawlers?
Companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and others send automated bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Googlebot-Extended…) to download the content of millions of websites. They use this data to train their AI models — without paying for it.
What is AI scraping?
When these bots visit your site, they copy your articles, products, source code or any other content and feed it into AI training datasets. They do this repeatedly, at scale, and without asking permission or compensating you for the value they extract.
Why does the receipt matter?
It puts a concrete number on what AI companies are taking from your site. If every page crawl had a price tag — $0.01/page, 12 times a year, across 15 bots — what would the bill look like? Now you can show it.
Can I actually charge them?
Yes — with HTTP 402. Deploy pay-per-crawl-worker on your site to respond with a payment requirement whenever an AI bot visits. Crawlers that support the protocol pay; the rest get blocked.
